My brother pretty much did the same on his H2 but he wound up in the Marines. He had his H2 with him and eventually died on it in 1977. He loved that triple and had the purple one. RIP Alan

RIP Alan. At the time I went into the army I was pissed leaving my H2 at home (I loved that bike). While in the army I got married and sadly sold the bike. In retrospect I believe that judge saved my life because I rode totally checked out all the time.. it was just a matter of time and my angel was not going to be there and my H2 would have killed me.

Back in the day, the two stroke triples were notorious for accidents here in the UK to; if you survived owning one you were lucky.

I got the H1 500 in 1969 very exciting 18 months .it was good at pulling the ftront wheel up when passing then when I changed to a higher gear dropping the wheel slightly turned at high speed oops. I sold it after using up all of the three oversize piston and re-bores availible I couldn't afford the new cylindres to start over with standard.
