remind me again, how the length of the kayak determines how it handles slow vs swift water?

if you gonna do alot of calm water..ponds, lakes etc..you want a long boat..10' or better...if you gonna do current, short boat...I have one short boat and 10 longs..

sure they are..they gonna be used boats so I wudnt pay much more for them..10-12 ft abt 200-250.....over 12 ft..$250-300...over 300, buy new

I looked at kayaks last summer at southtown sporting goods. They had good prices and the people there are super!

If you are going to buy a new boat, the outfittter in Garfield is about the cheapest place to go. However, there are plenty of good used kayaks out there that you can pick up for a lot less money than a new one and they are just about as good as new ones. The kayaks today are made of plastic and hold up pretty well to abuse.

I grenaded the engine on the Tiger yesterday. Not sure what the cause is till I get it apart, but it's got a rattle in the lower end. The oil light came on as I was running along just over 100 and then the noise. There's oil in the motor so I'm confused. I guess I now have a winter project.
