Outstanding choice. I've always thought the N frame S&W revolvers were some of the best looking and shooting guns ever made. Well built, great sights and smooth actions.

My dad gave me his Ruger Super Single Six (New model) with a 9.5" barrel with a nice holster about 10 years ago. It only has the .22 WMR mag. The .22 LR mag wasn't with it when he got it. I'm probably going to trade or sell it and get a better home defense pistol. Any recommendations? Don't really want to break the bank.

Those are nice little plinkers, are you sure you want to sell it? A regular .22lr cylinder could be bought for not that much.

For home defense I reccomend something like a CZ75 (preferably B model but they're all good). Single action with double action back up and a safety. Then practice practice practice.
