Looking good. Love the garage space, looks just like mine and even I have to work right next to an XL600R.

That looks sweet! A single sided swingarm would look really sweet.

Looking great so far!
What's your plan for the bars, clip-ons or risers?

I have some 43mm clip-ons from a early GSXR1100 which I'll try out - plus I have some low risers to try out some normal/flat bars. |

Sorry chaps - not much to report
![]() The new stem is back & I fitted it with the press at work...... I've shimmed the valves now and put the engine back in the frame to finish off the lower rear engine mounts..... ![]() ![]() ....and check the chain alignment... :?? I need to take up 30mm off-set, so want to bring the rear sprox in 10mm (to help clear the frame) and have a 20mm off-set front/drive sprox - so I'll be off to TALON again pretty soon ![]() I've fitted a Bandit 1200 front end for the time being to get a temporary rolling chassis... ![]() I think I'll need a chat with TALON when I collect the off-set sprox order! Here's some close-ups of the Harrison rear caliper & the neat fitting to save having to fit a torque arm.... ![]() ![]() ![]() And heres another mock-up of the rolling chassis - Note the 4:1 ain't so nicely placed now the bulky JMC has replaced the s/s 916 s/arm ![]() ![]() ![]() I did pick up a low mileage Wiseco 1105cc Hi-comp piston & barrel set for future use

Slow progress at the moment........ Now the 5/8" off-set drive sprox are done & collected from Talon......
![]() Whilst there I asked them to make me up a special sprocket adaptor coz I need a total of 28mm off-set for the 190 section tyre fitted on the Dymag. ![]() I need to set the rear wheel sprox in by 12mm, so they will make a plate to fit where the sprox should live and then I can fit an "off-the-shelf" item to the inboard side of that - and voila, sorted !!!!!! Once thats done I'll get some 530 H/D chain and the drive line will be complete : All in the c&s effort will be just over £200 I've contacted a chap who powder coated my Mk.II Sprinter and he can do me frame, yokes, s/stand & mounting piece for about £150, so should get that down to him next week - 7 - 10 day turn-around |

Quick question Pigford, if you offset a sprocket like that (ie move it out) doesn't it put an eccentric load on the output shaft and bearing?

YES - but depends on what motor you're running........... My (K)Z1000A2 is only 1075 Wiseco, making 90 bhp at the wheel amd I've run loads of 1/4 miles & about 10k miles with no problems ![]() My Mk.II Sprinter on the other hand is 1392 & I'm running with a D&G outrigger ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But the motor is only gonna be 1105 Wiseco, but I think I'm gonna make my own outrigger plate for this bike

Got the sprocket adaptor from TALON this afternoon..... to be polished within an inch of its life
![]() ![]() ![]() So thats brung it in 12mm - and the drive sprox is out by 5/8" - Jobs a goodun The adaptor allows fitting of a standard "off-the-shelf" sprox - in this case one for a VRF800 |
