As your departure date draws near, I just wanted to thank you for taking Chris and I along with you on your quest to get to the Dakar. I remember vividly a night last January when you came over to watch last year’s coverage and you said “I think I’m going to do it next year.”

It’s been such a pleasure to share this experience with you. And although I have given you a lot of grief for spending more time with my husband than I have this year, I wouldn’t have had it any other way!

Cheers to you Ned and dinner is on me tomorrow night!

While searching for information on which channels will be carrying the race this year I ran across this:

which made me wonder whether our boy has a support team like this? Wow? It must work ---didn't that guy win last year?

But what I really want to know is whether it will be on "Speed' channel? or, if not, where? Can anyone tell me?

Good Luck Ned, I just noticed this thread about your latest adventure, I guess I have been working too hard lately and haven't had time to visit AdvRider as much as I once did. I had a chance to help you with a pit stop in the Baja 500 you did and it comes as no suprise that you are about to take on the Dakar. I just ordered some of your stuff as a way of supporting your fabulous ride!

It will be a thrill to follow your adventure......

I believe is is pronounced the same as "Dr. Suess" (as in the cat in the hat).
