As your departure date draws near, I just wanted to thank you for taking Chris and I along with you on your quest to get to the Dakar. I remember vividly a night last January when you came over to watch last year’s coverage and you said “I think I’m going to do it next year.”
![]() It’s been such a pleasure to share this experience with you. And although I have given you a lot of grief for spending more time with my husband than I have this year, I wouldn’t have had it any other way! Cheers to you Ned and dinner is on me tomorrow night! ![]()

Television coverage of the Dakar?
While searching for information on which channels will be carrying the race this year I ran across this:
http://bajasafari.blogspot.com/2011/...istory-in.html which made me wonder whether our boy has a support team like this? Wow? It must work ---didn't that guy win last year? But what I really want to know is whether it will be on "Speed' channel? or, if not, where? Can anyone tell me? |

A returning loyal supporter
Good Luck Ned, I just noticed this thread about your latest adventure, I guess I have been working too hard lately and haven't had time to visit AdvRider as much as I once did. I had a chance to help you with a pit stop in the Baja 500 you did and it comes as no suprise that you are about to take on the Dakar. I just ordered some of your stuff as a way of supporting your fabulous ride!
It will be a thrill to follow your adventure...... ![]() ![]()
