I woulda got the Troy Ford of the John Day, but I was on that ride so,...disqualified.
I sure do like that pic of that curvy road down to the river. I was kinda busy riding on that loose gravel & dirt road that I never looked down to see the view of it. But that shot ^^^^^^ is Little Crater Lake just off FS58, just 10 miles or so from Timothy Lake. Gotta get that before Katy looks it up on you and CC's Bend trip RR.

Fun thread, I knew that was Little Crater Lake, but was looking for a good picture, I find most of my images are too easy like the painted hills, too hard like a 1940 International truck hub cap out in the desert somewhere, or being a wetsider they look like the same dirt/gravel/paved twistie section and could be most any road.

I agree and the yellow sign states that the road is unimproved and not suitable for cars. Taken next to the cabin at the horse camp. One of the stops on the IronButt 150.

It must be old age but here is a little reminder from 2008
Steep and Rocky visits Haney Meadows. Edit: I see "Turnsleft" in the background, my guess Oldx is there too. http://oldmantime.smugmug.com/Motorc...630_TgRVt-A-LB TONY

Bingo. I knew someone would get it quick.
I *think* it is on the WABDR, don't know for sure, but Jungle Man and I found this sweeeeet road by pure luck and a map. This hand-carved sign is above the door of that cabin that hayshaker posted a picture of..... ![]() Sorry to make y'all wait so long. dhally? set us up.
