11/29: Good question, Kevin. We are averaging about 4500-5500 on the rear Michelin 2CT's and about 7000 on the fronts. Our riding would probably be considered somewhat aggressive.

+1. And I sure would like to buy one. Under $25K would possibly be doable with some sacrafices. Anything north of that is a non-starter for me. I think the bike looks and sounds awesome on YouTube. Can’t wait to see it the flesh.

If their output of 200 bikes a year is all they want to put out, it's a pretty clever strategy, as this gives the bike a certain rarity and a mystique which will attract the well heeled and keeps the wanna be's salivating. It's human nature to desire the unattainable and has worked well as a marketing strategy for other products...

So Mr. DeepPockets will have a bike that no one else in his circle of riding buddies has... he'll be the center of attention from working stiff admirers... and he'll also have a pretty cool bike... win win for everyone!

I sat on one in Houston and it is an amazing combination of perfect riding position, flat footing ride height for short folks, epic engine, noise, poise, pose and goes.

I hope they make it, but.......DA-AMN! It's gonna be tough.

Good point... I've seen it as low as $9995 for the VFR1200... if the ergos weren't so sporty (for me), I'd jump on one.

We'll see how this one turns out.. its cachet is that engine, its American pedigree and its exclusivity. 200 bikes a year isn't a lot to sell and sell-out and be considered a success. Time will tell.

Boxer lust,the engine that is the epitome of slow and gradual would be the boxer. The Motus sounds as intended,like a small V-8 taking off,pretty neat I think.

Well, Honda probably has sold a couple of hundred ...

Honda's usually brilliant production engineering seems to have been let down by its designers: not enough people want a very heavy, shaft driven sport bike with bags.

If Motus meets its sales target, it will be because a couple of hundred people are prepared to pay almost anything for the Motus design: a relatively light, and very low-maintenance, chain-driven touring bike that steers.

VFR has bags? I had a hard time finding photos with them, but it seems they cost $2300!

The VFR is a bad bike to compare. It's heavy, lousy range, no bags included (and expensive), and too sporty for ST duties (for me)
