Winter solstice officially occurs @ 8:30 PM today in Anchorage. Our daylight today will be a grand total of 5h 28m which is a loss of 09s over yesterday.

I'll probably hit some trails about 20 miles from me today, should be about 55F.....

Yes it is good to have the days get longer..
In Fairbanks we get a whole 3 hrs 41 Minutes and 34 Seconds of daylight. It could be worse, way up north they don't get to see the sun for another 32 Days.
Worked at Pt. Barrow,never lost anything to go back looking for.
