![]() 2) Because my WRR has a 200 mile range....as is. 3) Because my WRR is a significantly better pack-mule, able to haul heavy loads, longs ways, with no worries. 4) Because my WRR can go 5,000+ miles without an oil change, if necessary. 5) Because my WRR motor was built for multi-hour, constant speed, long distance, high rpm, droning along pavement 5) Because my WRR has stereo tape, color TV, backseat bar, and reclining seat. 6) Because my WRR might commit suicide if I abandoned her so long. She needs to be stroked often HF ![]() 6-1/2) Because 10k, 20k, 50k just don't make any difference to my WRR.....she'd be no worse for the wear. I doubt I could say the same for my Berg. It'd be about a 20,000 mile roundtrip for me. That would probably exceed the intended useful life for the Berg, as a practical matter. But, you give it a go and keep us posted. Bout time somebody did something really daring and exciting on a Berg!

I will be slapping on some better street-able DOT knobs and put more miles on it in the Winter while them-thar hills trails are closed right now. The OEM Bridgestones are an aggressive motocross dirt tire but spooky on pavement and a shame to burn down real dirt knobs on pavement. Doesn't take long to spoon on new rubber anyway. Be fun to have a set of SM wheels for it.

Can you guys in the know let me in on what the differences are between a 2009 390 and a current model other than the closed cartridge forks? HighFive (Scott) mentioned to me the steering head angle and the FI mapping (can the mapping just be programmed at a dealer?) Any other differences?
Thanks in advance for the knowledge, I am thinking of buying a 2009/2010 390 at the moment and want to know whether I should wait and get a 2011/2012? .

390 came out in 2010.
Forks and a white tank for 2011. Yellow fame, steering head strengthening, head angle change ? For 2012. There may be more.

Good thing you're in OZ cause a little birdy told me that Husaberg will not be importing the 2012 4 strokes into the USA. Husaberg USA is focusing on the 2 strokes and the Enduro/Hare Scramble market I guess. Better get em while you can here in the States. Used Bergs are probably going to jump in price the way KTM SEs did after KTM stopped importing the big V. Either way you'll love the Berg. Oh, you have one of the best sources of Berg info with tons of Rally experience down under with inmate SafariBerg. I'm sure you've seen his posts on the forum. He's supporting 4 Bergs at Dakar right now. Good luck with your new Berg. Ride on!

Note: One must buy either the Samco or CV4 hoses to bypass the thermostat if you buy the Fluidyne KTM 450sx radiators. The left is close on the valve cover too but I am working on that. Hope to run w/o fan when done.

ktm950se have you ruled out a 2012 500 EXC? Friend has one and I like it a lot but I am addicted to that intake between the knees. It has a traditional metal subframe.
