To me, what looks better than both the options you presented is this: a smaller windshield that doesn't overpower the looks of the bike, but still gives you something to duck behind in case of a swarm of bees. Think WindVest.

Definitely looks better with it off. As for practical impacts, go for a ride each way and see for yourself, everyone has different ideas on windscreens. I generally don't care for them.

Another vote for without windshield.

what do you care about the looks? If you're riding on the highway through wind an rain do you think anybody cares about how your bike looks? your bike has to be functional, but maybe you're one of these pussys who are only riding by good weather then go with the looks, you'll need it

I'm not going to change my opinion based on what anyone THINKS I'm just curious what everyone would say. Personally I like it better off and it's off as we speak but I like to look at other people's bikes and see how they have customized them. I just thought someone might like to see it in its different configurations. That's what makes it better than a car, not much you can farkle or change on a car.

You, my friend, are a complete a**hole and you are the complete opposite of everything I think a true motorcyclist is all about. We all need to stick together and watch each others backs, especially on the road. That's what makes a forum like this so important, and to have a guy come along and call me a stupid name over something like this is not a very karmic thing to do. Thanks for your .02 but it's not the type of person I was looking to communicate with.

Without for sure. I have yet to ride a bike with fairings or a windshield. They're not needed to ride, just more comfortable.
