I've had mine up to 14,000 feet. It ran great up there with the stock setup. It would probably be a little rich now that I've rejetted it, but I don't think it's real sensitive, having the CV carb.

I've always put the stock Suzuki pads on there. Don't know if something else might be better.

People at lower elevations complain about these bikes being lean from the factory. They run great at my house, 7,200ft..... We've had them as high as 10,000ft so far and they still ran just fine.... No jetting changes..... We did pick up spark plugs one heat range hotter per the dealer's recommendation. I'm actually more concerned about how they'll run when we take trips to lower elevations......... Chuck |

I want to mount a ATV gun case for my trap gun. I think the cyclerack would be a better platform. does anyone know if the cyclerack and happytrail soft luggage side racks will work together?

I was riding home tonight on a dark country road around 60mph, the back end suddenly gave way and violently shook from side to side in a drift like manner, I managed to get the bike under control and pull over in the dark. The bike died and I tried to start it twice, it fired up but sounded rough. I noticed something smoky in the lights coming from the bike. After further inspection I found the drain plug missing. The oil had dumped it self out and I was stranded.
I was in the middle of nowhere and I insisted to my wife that I do not need a cell phone. I had left my survival bag at home its normally strapped to the back of the bike so I was screwed. I had to walk 5 miles in the dark through ditches, I saw 2 cruiser motorcycle and the twats didn't pullover to help even through I was in full biker gear. I'm waiting for a friend to cover over with a truck to recover the bike from where I hid it. Hope it is still there, I don't think I'll find the drain plug. Can someone please post a part no. so I can order a replacement. That was the closest call i've had to crashing, man it was intense.

Hope your motor isn't destroyed. You can look up the plug on Bikebandit.com.

It was me, I had changed the oil yesterday, I must have only hand tightened the bolt and forgot to wrench it.
How will I know if the motor is toast apart from the obvious not running. Any idea how much a new motor costs? I think it will be ok I hope as it was only running for what seemed like seconds.

Holy crap. I've been trying to find the sump drain plug on shp powersports I think I've found it on the below diagram part no.7. However I know there are 2 17mm sump drain bolts on the bottom of the casing, the diagram only displays 1 bolt, any ideas?
