Presidio to Cu Canyon

This Geezer/Gringo is now in Johnson City, TX (from West (by God) Vaginy) and headed for the Canyon. Any suggestions on the paper work, insurance, vehicle permit, etc. that might pose a problemo, please chime in here. I have all the docs as far as I know for getting in and I've read that Presidio should? be straight forward.
Also hoping to saddle up with a few other riders initially for some company. I've never ridden in Mexico and I'm looking forward to it and hopefully some warmer weather as I move south.

Another friend of mine left Veracruz on Monday AM and arrived safe and sound in McAllen Tuesday PM, straight up #180 and right through the belly of the beast.
Ask him if Mexico is dangerous. 3 months here and not a worry. There is a lesson in there for the worry warts.

thanks for that Mike. I'm estimatin that 90% of the people I tell I'm going to Mexico advise me not to go. It's refreshing to hear the positive comments.

I zeroed in on that one too.

I also note his site, while interesting and with a lot of content, is plugged with "pay for my info" bits everywhere. Still, worth the while looking around in there.

That bridge shouldn't be that hard to remember how to spell correctly. Just think of Salma.

In or behind bars? Assuming the former, keep me in mind. I might be able to get away again (I need to buy contact lenses ... Wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
