Well none of them work on bikes anymore but the general feeling was they have seen a lot of high mileage Guzzis with pitted lifters and no problems cause by them. The last couple of Guzzi motors I had apart have had pitted lifters and the cam and bearings looked fine. So it's kind of like yes you should replace them but don't worry about it if you don't.
