So do I. Thats lovely.
I'm really getting into the earlier machines since a friend bought and rebuilt this early 30's cammy Velo 350. It's suprisingly quick and sits at 70Mph with no problem. He's a platter by trade and made the oil tank, exhaust system and a load of other bits.

That Rudge is hot and so is that Velo! The rivet counters will be
Crapping in their Barbour Waxed trousers at the very sight! Sweet resto on that Daytona, too! I've ridden a vintage BSA on the English Lanes. Nothing like it!

"Lets not forget the "British Motorcycle Works" entry!"
Years ago while in an army hospital recovering from a car crash, I had a fellow patient try to convince me that BSA and BMW were the same company untill WW2. A real case of don't bother me with facts, my mind is made up. no photos, but I have a few Brit projects waiting on me, AJS 500 single BSA A65 Rickman Montessa (OK Brit/Spanish) projects are SO quick to get and so slow to finish |

Interesting TV program recorded from the TV in the early 80s
Makes you realise how long they carried on flogging a dead horse? Rob Farmer screwed with this post 01-20-2012 at 10:47 PM |

I haven't had a 'Brit bike for a while (73 750 Bonneville in 1985 / 73 T100T Daytona in 1977)
What say you of the Ariel VB (1946 model / girder fork to be exact ) ? That or a Norton 16H. A Norton Model 18 would be another favourite ?

Aries are lovely bikes but I've always found any of the Brit 350s to be too slow to be really practical. Ariel 500 with a b50 piston makes for a very useable machine.

Rickman Enfield
My new arrival. A 71 Rickman Enfield. It has just 1724 original miles and needs the brakes gone through and a little polishing.
