Bikes of Rio/Brasil

Did a 2 week trip in Rio recently. Did not get a chance to ride, but noticed that motorcycles were a huge form of transportation. Not many bikes I noticed are sold here in the US. Was hanging out mostly in Ipanema and Copacobana. Was also in Teresopolis and Barra too.

Honda

This was my favorite: A Honda XRE 300.
Cool looking bike. Bikes out there have to be tough, they get a workout. People lane split out there like I have never seen before. many deaths each week from crashes.

We get a few of these in NZ grey/unoffically imported from Japan. They are usually a 250cc.
Our vehicle market is deregulated so as long as a bike conforms to relevant safety standards around light patterns, dot markings etc dealers and individuals can import almost anything privately and register them on the road.

The Bros range was normally a 400 or 650cc V-twin unfaired bike, I've never seen an adv/trail bike branded that before.

Huh,
no lie I think I actually saw this particular bike there. Not many of those around in general.
