I repaired a set of ER-6i yesterday. Mine broke at the connector. Bought a connector for $5 at Radio Shack and soldered it on. Good as new...

I bought a pair of earbud speakers made by www.meelec.com the M6 version and paid about 20.00 for them at amazon. To me they're worth every penny. Good sound, good noise isolation and fit in my ears very nicely. They have an over the ear cord which works great when putting on my helmet. Don't know what that other poster was doing...
They stay put and are comfortable for hours of riding. Like most earplugs, if you get carried away and jam em down in your ear too far, they won't sound as good and will start hurting after a while. For 20-30 bucks, you can't go wrong.

If I press my palm flat against my ear, I can just feel the ends of the buds The sound is comparible to er6i's,, you need to get a good seal for bass. No extra boom boom added. edit: Just switched from the stock triple flange to some extra ones enclosed,, look to be the same as er6i silicons. They work great,, sound is even better due to better seal. Also, the wires look to be tougher than the er6i's. (not that I had any problem with the er6i wires) They seem pretty accruate Over all a worthy successor to er6i. (for me)

I use Skullcandy Titans that cost twenty bucks on ebay. Noise cancelling and sound great. Prove to me that you can tell the difference in highs / lows, bass, treble while riding at 70 mph. I have a nice set of Grados for at home.

They seem to be IMO. They're not like NR33's but for me they do a good enough job of cutting the wind noise.

The secret it to get a complete seal in the ear canal. If you can accomplish that then to a certain extent ALL in ear earphones are noise isolating, just not noise cancelling. The M6 is a great isolating plug if you get the right tip on it. I use the triple flange ones and they work great.

I just got a black HF3 at best buy on Clarence for 79 bucks. They go pretty deep in the ear canal and do not rub on the helmet lining
