New videos on the best motorcycle roads
I've been traveling in different parts of the world on a sportbike for years but have finally upgraded to a video camera to document the trips. So happy about not having to stop to take pictures now :) With these two videos I'm starting a new series documenting some of the best motorcycle roads and trips. Adventures on a sportbike. Many more roads to be documented across the eastern US, Canada and beyond. This is just the beginning. I'm having some fun doing these. Videos taken using a GoPro HD camera on a ZX-9R.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVqZ1AC3M9g Here's a slideshow of some awesome twisties in West Virginia, North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Tail of the Dragon. Looking forward to hitting those roads again with the camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXIHltwtJUI I'll be documenting in more details these roads at worldtrip.ca and the goal is to build a road guide with videos on the site. If you have any road suggestions to get on film especially in New England and eastern Canada let me know. Happy riding! |

New video on Vermont's Route 17 and Smugglers Notch Pass
The second video in the series is up and this time it's on Vermont's Route 17 and Smugglers Notch Pass. I wanted to shoot some more roads in the area but ran out of time More roads to come. I'd appreciate any tips for the region. Happy riding!

Third video is up
The third video is up on YouTube. This time featuring Maine's beautiful route 27, 113 through the White Mountains and New Hampshire's 302 through Crawford Pass. I mixed some clips up trying to make it entertaining with some humor.

The latest and greatest.. 5 more great roads
These two new videos feature some of the most fun twisty roads in the northeast with more on the way. The first link.. The latest and best yet with an 80s twist. Thanks for watching!
Damn.. The first video which I put a lot of work into was blocked by the Warner Music Group due to the song Land of Confusion by Genesis.. Some studios now work with YouTube to advertise their music but not this one. Gonna have to redo it :( And it was so good. At least the second one works fine. New York Essex CR 6, Tracy Road and CR 24, Adirondack Park http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caDGbzh3dUg

Video is back up
I was just about to remove the video from YouTube when I landed on one on how to dispute WMG. With the new copyright laws and the Genesis song credited in the description the video is back online. So for the second time today here it is.. Please advise if it doesn't work. As with other videos that feature copyrighted videos it may not work for folks in the UK and Germany, perhaps some other countries. Enjoy!

Can I please pretty please make a request? Ditch the helmet mount and put that camera on the bike as low as possible? Videos are much more dramatic and really give a feel for the road and speed. Keep cranking out videos, as someone who spent my childhood in New England, I wish I had those roads instead of my boring Texas ones.

Thanks for the tip.. I'll look to film more often at lower angles. The advantage with the helmet mount is the flexibility to film where you're looking naturally. And it's simple and quick. But it does take away some from the road. Thanks for the dirt road video. It's spectacular! That's real adventure!
Very cool video.

Had some fun making this latest video on Quebec's Route 364 and 327 in the Laurentides Region. Filmed in the fall.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmOsphDX-E8 Also on a group ride in the area featuring a Shelby Cobra, a buggy, two harleys, a BMW and Ninja. More to come this winter. For those in warmer places.. Good Riding! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95FUyhHMoxo

Here's the latest in the Best Motorcycle Roads Series. Hawk's Nest in New York. A scenic and twisty section of NY State Route 97. Outside of Port Jervis. It's a fun stretch of road. As always with a sense of humor and music.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDAYC2RJkPU I also put up recently a winter sportbike ride in Canada. I played with my GoPro camera on a warm afternoon. Mix up some scenes, throw in some good music and it can be surprising what you can come up with with a few clips. More backlogged videos to come from the Catskill Mountains and Adirondack Park in New York as well as the Mauricie National Park in Quebec. Just gotta find the time to do them. Happy riding! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS8-JBJ5ZtY
