(In the sea there is something like a shadow. Well, it is not a shadow, it's the tiny island Gaidouronisi or Chrisi (Γαιδουρονήσι ή Χρυσή), a paradise with white sandy beaches. You can reach the island easily taking one of the many ferries from Ierapetra town.

This is where we stopped the last time and enjoyed the view. It was only 800 meters altitude. Now we are so high that the clouds are lower than us and the atmosphere is much clearer above a certain altitude.

Thank you all for your kind words. I am truly blessed that my wife loves adventure and riding (even as a pillion). She never complains when we ride for many hard hours on dirt roads and enjoys every one of our rides. Except when we fall down, but that is understandable
Now lets continue with the report...

We climb to the top to get a better view.





As usual, there is a small concrete column at the peak to mark for the cartographic society and, as usual, i climb on top of it. An other peak conquered by bike!

Time passes again without notice while we enjoy the view but now our stomachs are grumbling for food.





We take out our meager rations which seem to us like a feast!





Meanwhile a 4x4 pickup truck came up here with two locals who joined us for a raki and a bite (no photo of them)
We talked, we laughed, we had a very good time but we must continue with our ride because... well, yes, sunlight in winter is precious, i can't change it, can i?
