Mildest winter since we moved east, and the past week we've had temps (and humidity) worthy of summer, in spite of the fact the calendar says it's still winter. Finally broke out the Road King and the new Lumix today. After putting 155 rounds down-range at Pro Shots in Rural Hall, North Carolina, USA, I took the long way home and looked for photo ops. I knew I'd get wet before the day was over (afternoon thunderstorms were predicted), but I don't care so much about the rain, it's the electricity that gets my attention. I'm happy to report I didn't get zapped. I got a couple of decent photos outta the deal; hope you enjoy.  King, North Carolina, USA

 This is looking down the pipe of the daffodil in the previous photo. The Lumix has a 600-mm equivalent lens,
but will also focus down to literally nothing; this pic was taken with the UV filter pressed up against the petals to hold it still while I took the shot. Remarkable range, this camera. Pinnacle, NC. |
