Looks like a cool project!
May I suggest you edit your post and stack the pics vertically, it is much easier to see to just scroll down. |

Thanks! I spent a lot of time working on the bike today, but it doesn't show. It took me about 5 hours to get the stinking 1 into 2 throttle cable cut/soldered and adjusted. I guess it had to be done. I will start working on the rear disk brake/wheel conversion in the next few days. I also need to finish the exhaust. it is about ready to fire up. I have spark! I would add pictures but there's not much to see today.

updates
In the previous pictures I was using the old axle that was too small. After a few minutes in the magic laboratory and POW the swing arm and chain adjusters accept the bigger YZ axle. Looks like the caliper will slip into place just fine. Next I will be working on the chain alignment then I can turn the spacers on the lathe. Another plus is the fact that the yz wheel feels like it must weigh 5 pounds less than the xt wheel. A lot of that could be the big ol' DOT tire too.

Justin, I'm glad you approve. :) I whipped up some wheel spacers and washers for the axle. Took care of the sprocket and rotor line-up. If anyone wants to do a rear disc swap on their XT350, this is the way to go. It seems almost to easy. :o Tomorrow I will start working on the master cylinder and foot lever. I am procrastinating on doing the exhaust. I just don't know where or how to get the bends i need to clear the front tire and frame. I am trying not to spend much more on the bike, so I need to get clever now.

That looks awesome man! Do you have a video of it running? I used to have a cb350four. They are a really neat little motor. That must be one fun high revving little enduro.

I started machining some bits to mount the rear brake lever. The shaft will get cut to the correct length then welded from the back side. Next I will be making the master cylinder mount. So far so good
