My total from DDM for the H7 and H3 together was $50 bucks (plus another $15 in shipping... they drop-ship from China, but you don't pay any duty import fees).

Install was less than a hour tops... and that included stopping to make another espresso!

Don't make your high beam HID, Qwik. A good PIAA bulb is much better, instant on (no warm up required) and much easier to find on the road. Just my 2 cents.

I don't see either point as an issue. From my first testing this morning, the H3 comes on fast and bright. And, if your bulb(s) DO happen to go out while on a trip (not very likely*... I've had HIDs on 4 bikes now and have all been reliable), it's as easy to plug back in a stock H7/H3 halogen as it is to replace the HIDs.... pop the spade connectors out of the kit and into the bulbs... simple and fast.

*Ok... Geek burnt out one of his.

Using the flash/pass highbeam with an HID isn't really the most convenient system.
Some people put two 50w hids and I've seen a couple melt the euro housing.
I've stuck with one 35w lower and one 50w PIAA and that's tons of light.

If you want more light, get some led light and spread the beam pattern to really have usable coverage.

As I said, my two cents...Just personal experience. Fwiw.

Painfully bright

I have the 55w high and 35w low beam HID's from DDM in my euro housing with out any sings of melting or damage. I don't seem flash my high beams, there are on when I need them and off when I don't. I use the euro switch to turn off the lights when starting the bike and my only complaint is trying to fit all the ballasts etc behind the light. Even if they go bad or don't last they are cheaper than quality standard bulbs

They are attached to the Touratech GPS bracket. It was kinda an experiment and a simple solution at the time, but I really like them.
