Did little taste testing today with the BBQ we will bring and have to say, the stuff is damn good. Wondering how many will show up. Plan on bringing around 10 lbs. Hope that is enough, Do not have much more room than for that amount.

We certainly appreciate it Fototex! And don't worry about running out. As the Shindig nears, if it looks like we are going to have a larger crowd, I can always run to the grocery store in GM and get more beans, tater salad and beef jerky.

Count me in as returning for the 2nd annual. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on the land and another great time with a great group. I'll bring my air compressor this time.

You were a great host last year and thanks for volunteering to do this again. Great location! I'm getting itchy - projected 52 degrees today!

I am posting a link for a spring ride in the Paul Bunyan State Forest. It would be great if all of you who are attending this ride could also make it for a spring ride.

Last Thursday as I slide into town with mt Jeep in 4 wheel drive, I saw a snow covered cycle under a cover at a motel in Two Harbors, it was snowing sideways at about 2"/hr. I had to see who it was and why they were riding in a blizzard. Turns out it was Mike S. on his way south when he got caught in TH He decided to hole up for the night, SMART man.

Next morning I drove by after my meeting, he already was gone.

The time has come! If the bike starts today, I'll be heading out with the gang scouting some routes for this July! Let the route planning begin!

Sounds like MikeS is going to share some pictures at this years Shindig from his recent trip to Copper Canyon Mexico. We'll have a big screen projector and cold beers ready! Can't wait!

Reference to Cuda's comment; It was a surprise while stranded in Two Harbors by snow, and having a fellow rider knock on my motel door, wondering who? what? why?

I posted a link on the first post to an Echo Trail Ely route under the "Rides" heading. I'll post some gpx files for those with GPS units. It would be nice to have the routes a head of time this year, so we can split up into a couple different groups if we want. I'm working on it!

Not sure what is going on in July as of yet but put me down as a maybe. Sounds like you guys are setting up some good routes. I will be riding a DR650SE "fall down" bike so I may have to stay on the logging roads? I just got the bike after riding a XT225 for a while so maybe I will learn how to stay upright on it by then?
