I'm planning my route for the trip down to Michaux now. First stop is up and over to Bill's Bike Barn in Bloomsburg, then follow the Appalachians down, visiting some trout streams along the way, then cross the Cumberland Valley on Doubling Gap Road Rt. 233 which will take me right to Pine Grove Furnace. Wont be leaving for a couple of months yet, so I have time to figure out all the places I want to visit on the way down.

I'm really looking forward to this.

Sounds like your going to cross the Trans PA Trail somewhere near Bloomsburg, you could follow that route, and 4 days later end up in Pine Grove Furnace

. I still need to proof ride from Emporium south (this spring) but others have ridden parts of it so I don't expect any problems.

Thanks for that link, I'd missed that and definately want to check it out.

I'll be wanting to visit historical buildings & bridges, and interesting and unusual stuff generally, as well as trout streams.

He and my two friends from school use to ride up there all the time, when ever i come down to visit i make sure to bring my bike

just went for a quick 30 minute ride around south mountain. beautiful day and tomorrow will be better. gonna take the bike to work tomorrow so i dont even have to come home first...

Mere minutes after posting that I got the word from my buddy he will change my tire for me tomorrow, so no, you won't see me on the trails. I'd have probably crashed with this front tire on anyway.
