Great little write-up Paul. It's a good ride to boost confidence or help a rider sort out exactly what they need and want. You have probably, IMHO, one of the best choices of bike for a trip like that! I've done the HT a few times now, in 4x4 and on motorbike, and enjoyed every time. Good on ya for sharing
.Cheers JayBo

Going well, thanks Neil........except for the work - too busy. Too few rides, only been on the dirt twice this year and this weekend sucks too.
unless you want to ride on 16 / 17th I will not ride with you before your NJ trip. I'm not taking much leave this year so it's precious, therfore the cop out of NJ. Cheers Koos

The throwover bags are good for a weekender but I need to choose some racks and saddle bags yet before I do longer trips and need to carry more water and food. I like farcall's DR setup that he has pics of in his RR's.

Good trails around Perth area
Hi, I have recently bought a 640 and would like to know if there are some good trails around Perth to try out bike.
I ride my mtb in the hills, but am not sure about riding motorbikes in the Perth hills. Cheers |

I have the 0.8s with oil at 145mm from top 15wht. With my fat arse, 35lts fuel in tank and about 40kg on the back I am yet to bottom it out. Its a bit harsh on the corragation if they are deep ( 150mm +). but great if going quick and hitting deep ruts and holes.
If I was only going to do gravel roads I was going to look at a set of .7s Kev. |
