I don't think anyone is trying to impress me - I think we all like to see pics! (and I'm not the only girl - MeefZette is around and I know Lisa is lurking somewhere) Thanks for sharing! I WILL be posting a pic of my bike on a beach at some point this summer. That's on the list. Speaking of which...... Anybody up for a ride to a beach (preferably secluded if they exist anymore), camp, spend a day, camp and ride back? We'll take the long way......... That would be a fun group trip for a 3 day weekend. Just a thought. |

Beach Ride
I'm thinking maybe the north shore of New England this fall Via St. Lawrence Seaway then back through NH, Vt, & NY. That or some place south of Virginia but away from all the OBX freaks The Battle Wagon, riding the coast of Lake Superior, no sand but cool clear water.

Hope the big bike adventure went well without me, after breakfast the wife and I headed east and explored around Zaneyville, had some Chipotle, and wandered home. Sure was beautiful out, saw a lot of bikes out playing hookey today including RedRiderSteve, who we ran into in Newark and a nice dude on a Super Tenere in Dresden who we chatted with.
Pretty weird to be riding around in 68 degree weather, getting hit by bugs, in early March. |

I didn't ride to work tonight, just didn't feel like getting my head bounced around for an hour before doing my shift. |

And now everything changed. While prepping the uly this afternoon, a tranny fluid change revealed these lovely shards of gears
![]() ![]() So bikes in the shop now; still under warranty. They'll let me know what they find Friday. Options: Hope for good news Friday?! (only good news would be they couldn't find the metal source. ) or Order the Ims Tank for the Yamaha, and drastically chang the route to small roads, dirt/gravel if possible, and skip new Orleans and key west. Whichever bike goes is going to need a new back tire prior. Sonofabitch |

I dig this....looks more like a Muskie or shark than a P40 Warhawk, but I still like it.
