Rentals on Maui?
I'm looking for a place to rent ADV bikes on Maui. All I can find is Harleys. I'm mostly going to be riding on the road unless someone has some cool trails they can show me. It'd be great if I could find maybe a GS to rent but I'm open to anything.
If you own a bike and are looking to make some cash by renting it out I'm open to that too. I'll be there July 30th to June 8th.

Maui bound as well
Like the two guys above, I'll also be in Maui but at the end of June/start of July.
I see that Maui Dual Sport rentals is closed and as well can't see anything other than Harley rentals. If anyone has some advice, I'd be interested. Looking for a ride for a day or two. Thanks, Cord |

Aloha Inmates. On my second weeks holidays here in Maui. I checked every rental place on the Island and except for a Ninja 250, it's either Harley's or scooters, that's it! One place said it is way too expensive to insure dual-sports. I also asked about Wee-Stroms but not enough people ask about them. I did see one cool bike though, a Honda Pacific Coast.

I bet you could have a pretty fun time riding a Ninja 250 to the top of Haleakala and back. Time yourself! Do it a few times...

Shipping a bike to Hawai'i
So, it's looking like I may have a job on Kaua'i soon.
I have a BMW F650GS that I'd like to send over from the Seattle (Woodinville) area. For those of who who have shipped bikes over, how did you do it and how much did it cost? Especially those of you from the Pacific Northwet. Mahalo nui loa! doc

Da wife is staying behind for a while, so would probably hold off on a container for a while. I plan to travel lightly, renting a furnished place for at least the first year. So the bike would be the only thing I need shipped anytime soon. Thanks. I'll ask around the area and see what else I can find out. doc

We've shipped a lot of bikes through DHX (Dependable Hawaiian Express). I've also used ABF but they have a terminal in Honolulu. Not sure about Kauai but they can forward I'm sure.
