girl guides here tend to sell via parents and freinds of parents,sometimes they are waiting at the local supermarket where there is a small mall.Elevatoion signs tend to be at significant summits only,not that many camera stores,most are now part of larger electrical type stores.Like epe over here Bunnings,mitre ten or The ware house tend to have a sausage sizzle going on out front for charitable (or non profit group)fund raising

There are camera stores everywhere, well not so much anymore, but they use to be universal, that's why I chose it, I thought it would be a challenge to find one of them left.....

As for the blooming tree, I admit that I'm spoiled by the fact that they're blooming in pink and white and purple all over the place here where the weather is more mild and where people with good sense choose to live, as opposed to the frozen north, soooooo, I'll accept anything, even flowers in the window of a florist for you numbnuts that live where you can't ride all year round....

we have the girl guides and stuff but the cookie selling is definitely an american thing it doesnt happen here.

i could find an electronic store that sells cameras, but not a store that just sells cameras. a lot of towns here arent big enough for very specialised stores, they wouldnt get enough custom. i guess there is probably one in belfast or some other big city but its too far away

our road signs dont have elevation on them

the trees arent blooming yet

wouldnt bother amending it like ill just do the next one, theres so much stuff in the usa youd have to rule a lot of stuff out to always make it global

2. A tree in bloom, it is spring, isn't it? (Amended) Or anything, even a florist window, with lots of blooms!

3. A sign that shows the elevation (amended) or population. Like a city or town limit, or highway pass.

4. Girls Scouts selling Girl Scout Cookies. Like in front of a store, or mall. Or any charity or civic organization selling whatever in front of a store or something...(amended, anything being sold, not in a store. A temporary set up)

5. A Camera store.

Go riding, take pictures, have fun! Amended; have fun if you can, and since this is global, the weather will always be bad somewhere, it will be spring in the north and fall in the south, If it's daylight here, it'll be dark there. How long is too long? At what point in time do I take on the mantle of "thread killer" and change the list to something much easier? 2 weeks, 3 weeks, a month?

There is not really a time limit, but if it looks like a thread killer it just might be. I spent a few hours out and about this mornign and did not see one elev / population sign or anything being sold outside.

It is your call, but if you want to get the game moving again it might be worth changing the list.

WIth that said, to all the players; try to make your lists doable for every one. The point of the game is riding, use things that are not seasonal / regional / etc.

Before I post the other four, let me know if this will suffice for the elevation pic. No notable elevations around here until I hit the Continental Divide a few hundred miles from here and no populations worth speaking of...

If my "elevation" sign is acceptable, I've got the list complete. Just waiting on approval before heading back out to ride. I'm going to go ahead and post my pics in 15-20 minutes rather than wasting a riding day sitting around waiting for my computer display to have a meaningful, life change.

1) A goat or multiple goats

2) A Pontiac GTO - 60s or 70s era (alternate for those outside the US - a muscle car/performance car from the 60s/70s)

3) Poster or billboard of someone on a Suzuki - bonus points for Ricky Carmichael (G.O.A.T.)

4) Any sign with the words Go To or any variation thereof - Go 2, Go Two, etc.

5) A wooden guardrail. (couldn't think of anything else goat related).

File pic prevention device: dated pic with today's date or later - OR - your hand clearly visible at the side of the pic making an obvious gesture. All pics must contain one or the other of the above - no mix and match.

Creative! I'd say that the "clearance" sign is in fact a type of elevation, after all, the over pass is elevated 12'4" above the lower road..

That was my way of thinking after not being able to find an actual elevation/population sign. And I *did* look while riding everywhere for the last week or so since it was posted.

now that is good!.I may be wrong but the only elevation sign i can think of is about 300 ks away....but the bridge clearance is perfect imho.....
