We'll be staying here

http://www.motelscabinscampmahiabeac...Available.html

and we'll be dining here

It's probably best if we meet there. I am thinking of heading towards Mahia on Friday and take in the Motu on the way there. We'll see how far we'll get on the day. The next day we can explore Mahia and and Sunday we can explore some of the back country gravel roads in the area. On Monday it's back to the rat-race via Waikaremoana.

Let's hope for some fine weather. Shitty weather seems to be the norm this year.

I guess it would be good to know how many will attend.

I'll add a list to the first post of this thread.

That's a pretty brave move taking the spokes out of these wheels. Let's hope it's not as impossible to re-spoke it as some people say it is. Get it done, we need more Airheads.

I've also just realized that Anzac Day is not on a Monday. That means I have to be back in Auckland by Sunday evening.

Good luck with the rest of the work, it's looking good.

I'll be riding with you guys in spirit
Hopefully I will be able to get over to your guys side next spring when it warms up - i'm about to go into bike hibernation/ stripdown mode.
Just read a thread on airheads about someone finding the front bearing locator pin in the sump & the damage it's done. I'm replacing the weeping sump gasket as soon as it arrives from motoworks& I'll be pissed off if there's one in the bottom of mine. Bugger these bikes I wish I hadn't read about it till after I had replaced the sump gasket.

I want a blow by blow of your respoking igormortis- especially the results.

The Wellington people who indicated an interest were:

- advNZer
- Igormortis
- msmckeon
- GuzziTony

I'll also see if I can interest pontypool

Also potentially along for the ride Mark_S.

I'll send out a chaser PM / email tonight.

I'm keen to take in the mighty Motu, Waikaremoana, & East Cape.

At this stage I am likely to leave Friday, back ?

Unlikley my bike will be serviceable sorry. Update on KB.
Will see how things go. At the moment I feel like taking a sledgehammer to it.
Vespa seems to keep on going though. It seems like those steady Italians understand quality.........not like those crazy Germans.
