Thanks for the kind words fellas ..

When you ride this thing, you come to realize how popular this bike was back in the day. People literally chase you down the street to look at the bike and have a little chat about RDs .. and inevitably to share their own personal RD tales.

The story usually involves wheelies ...

Its really great fun to own and ride. This one fookin rips!

Its my fourth '75 RD350B and I finally feel I did one up proper.

This was my first bike. Bought from original owner, rebuilt motor, rode the piss out of it!

Very nice. And the 650 in the background looks sick as well.

10 years ago I went to go look at an RD400. It was a barn find, but 90% original. When I got to the seller's house it was sold and already sitting in the new owner's pickup.

The 300 is a 6 speed right?
What is the ratio spread like? Would 6th be comfortable on two-lane black-top?

Not a 6 only a five. From the little opertunity I've had to ride it it I would recommend adding a tooth to the countershaft sprocket for the highway.

Hey Rokoneer. Nice stable. That 300 motard give me sweats... God I'd love to run that down Deals gap just one time. I've heard they can be tagged too since apparently the titles don't say "for off rod use only". Is that right?

I have a clean street legal title for that bike. While I can't speak with certainty about all 300 exc's, I think that what you say it true. Was for me....

I've had multiple supermoto's, including some very exclusive exotics, and can report that the 300EXC, while perhaps not the most practical, is without doubt the most fun to ride.
