it is easy to off road in Gr.
There are no regulations or prohibitions to it.
I see that u are talking also for free camping.
You may camp almost everywhere in wild (just be careful of fires).
Usually we are camping next to small churches (sometimes inside if the weather is bad), or wherever we can find some water.
Always little villages arround supply us food or meat for bbq.
Maybe the best maps for off roading is http://www.anavasi.gr/en/

babisadve is right, the "anavasi" maps are the best for off road in Greece. you can also put them to your GPS if you want (dont know how, havent done it yet).
If you know how to read these maps you can go from south to north 90% by off road.
The best season for that is from May to Oktober, Till April you might find difficulties because of the mud and maybe snow.
You will find small or bigger villages everywhere, with people willing to help enytime. There you will find food, and most of the times a place to sleep if the weather is bad.
Free camping is also easy, as babisadve said. I usually try to find places with water, if not, near a village so i can go there for food and water and then back to the tent.

You can contact with us for more info, and "must see" places, and why not do some km together if we can.
Take a look at my thread and posts to take an idea.
My perfect kind of weekend.

Good to hear about the free camping, I was also wondering about that myself

I'm planning a similar trip this year.

I found a ferry from Venice to Patras that costs around 120 one way, but I absolutely don't know where to go on my 640 Adventure. I've been to Greece around 10 years ago in Thessaloniki and Halkidiki only and with my family.
I want to make as much off-road as possible, don't want to visit big cities at all. I will have 8-12 days for Greece, then I will need to exit somewhere to Bulgaria to continue then to Romania and Ukraine.
Any tips and recommendations guys?

Both suggestions are perfect and usually ,September is a very good period for Hellas, not so many tourists around, that make's our ride's better and safer.

hi riders

the project for the Greek trip is ready , tracks , ferry , ect........ thanks at Sotris and Elias for the advices.

just a last question , if it's possible i would like to go near Venise (Vicenza , Padova , Verona ) with my car and the trailer and park them in a guard parking all the time of the trip.(we take the ferry with motorbikes at Venise).

do you know a place for park , or do you think if a camping site or agriturrismo accept this deal ? or another idea ?

thanks in advance
