My throttle cable is still broken on the X Challenge. I'm working late tonight so will try to replace it later after I get home from work.

Hey Luke, you said you're riding the Big 950 ... are you gonna replay the TWP 20 that so thoroughly kicked my ass last time? Or will it be a little gentler than that? I'd like to ride but I don't want to play boat-anchor to a more capable group if you guys are gonna smash through a lot of nastiness. You know my limits, having watched me the last 6 months.

So if you can give an indication as to what you plan to do it will help me decide how late I stay up trying to get my bike back up and running.

Later,
M

There will be dirt, mud and guts. I intend to run twp 20, the power line, Westvaco road and trail and others that may be in poor shape from the enduro. With there being no sun today expect mud.

It may be a bit like this just more mud.

I've heard mention of products similar to JB Weld, but cannot remember any of the names...and I've never had much luck with JB Weld anyway...what do yinz use when you need such a product?

specifically, what I'm going to be using it on is the throttle housing on my XR, which is aluminum. there's a broken off piece where the bolts go in...so the bolts are only holding on by a couple of threads...when I replace the cables I want to fix this as well.

Qwik steel is what I like to use. Works really well.

Ugh, got BigOhio and Buildit mixed up; both 7 letter names starting with B. Sorry guys... or you're welcome... whichever.

Anyway, looks like I'm coming! Off to prep the bike! And figure out what I'm going to wear... I never know what to wear to these damn off-season rides. It'll be cold when I leave home, warm in the afternoon, but I'll be sweating my ass off in the tough stuff, and there's a good chance I'll be getting wet as some point.

Solace, if you're going to make it we can ride down together. Let me know!
