Show me your tail...Lights!
Hey All,
Looking to get rid of the monstrous lighting on the rear of my DR..Can some of you who have done some simpler substitutions post pictures of your solutions? I'm trying to get ideas... Anyone using a baja designs style LED tail light? |

Have you seen that the DR250 tail light is a direct replacement? Or do you want something different than that?
Here is the image from procycle's site

I was thinking that for the first time in my life I would put bling money towards saving the planet, reforming murderers in prison, saving vermin, saving endangered spiders, etc, etc. . But . . . . . NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. btw: I have ALREADY helped you with your retirement many, many, times.

I didn't know about Procycle or ADVrider when I did this.
That Procycle piece looks very nice.I didn't want my rear tire throwing crap on my jacket so I left most of Suzuki's parts on. Besides the taillight shown above, I recessed my plate light into the fender, trimmed the bottom edge off the fender and removed the plate bracket. A solid piece of alum is cut to the size of the plate for support. That's weird: I smudged my lisc plate in Smugmug and now it's bigger than the second pic?? ![]() ![]() How I recessed the plate light. You can see the alum piece at the far left of the pic, really dirty.

I'm selling my not-currently-running '96 DR for parts or repair in the flea market.

It's a much older FMF MegaMax for four strokes, circa 2004. I bought it because I like the disc control concept: less discs more quiet, more discs, louder. I just removed discs until it was quiet enough for me. Again, long before I knew about the GSXR and other options. The only reasons for leaving the stocker: its height and its weight.
It's been replaced by a GSXR Ti unit, which was still a little loud for me until I stuck a spark arrestor in the end. Now it's good and no more repacking.
