Hey Guys:
I have a Zumo 450. My co-worker sold me the mount for it which is on my FZ6, wired for power. I don't think it's a "RAM" mount as it doens't move around. If I want a second mount for my F800GS, what is my best bet? http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Locking.../ref=pd_cp_e_2 That has everything and a RAM mount http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Motorcy...3563768&sr=8-1 that has no RAM mount and no power cable. Which is the best mounting point on the F800GS as to not block anything? |

HappyHighwayman,
For what it's worth, I like the TechMounts like Waino shows here: http://advrider.com/forums/showpost....&postcount=165 I mounted my Zumo 660 in a Touratech locking mount using a TechMount handlebar mount. The setup is quite adjustable and relatively low profile. When i ordered, the guys at TechMount even swapped out the top plate for me so it would fit the TT locking mount. Good luck! |

I have the Zumo 450...I was going to buy a spare cradle (the other one is mounted on the Yamaha) and then get this:

GoPro mounts for GPS
I have a Garmin Origon GPS that I attached a GoPro extention piece onto the removeable clip (the Garmin handlebar mount) and use any of my GoPro mounts. This saves me from having to buy different mounts when I already have them. I use the GoPro handlebar mount on my bike and the suction cup in my car. In my kayak I have an adhesive one placed right in front of me. I could even use the Chesty for hiking.... "could".

Finally the GPS mount and risers are mounted on the bike.
I´m very satisfied with the result, the quality is very nice and it looks good. ![]() ![]() ![]()

One thought prior to acquire is instrumentation sight line. From this angle looks like rider height > 8ft should be good.
![]() OP? Hot looking piece though

Stock, bicycle mount. Rock steady, no vibrations, really happy with this purchase.
