A) there might some compatibility issues with the axle/wheel- Sportster triple clamps are much narrower than Dynas, and the brake rotor/caliper relationship is critical.
B) Use the older Hayes calipers, whose mounts match the forks.....

Guess I should have mentioned, my bike is a Super Glide which has the Narrow Glide front end. This should be a direct fit. I'm uncertain of the difference in weight though. Both calipers are 2 pots and mount the same. The only difference is where the line goes in....... |

Update
So I mounted the rear shocks. Apparently the Dyna is quite a bit heavier in the rear as it was slammed with them on the hardest settings....
Comparison- ![]() On the bike- ![]() So guess I need to send them off! |

A narrow glide is a narrrow glide is a narrow glide. Spring rates might be a little low--going to a Dyna suspension on a Sportster is a pretty typical upgrade for us larger guys. If the bike bottoms out a lot, OP may want to consider FXDX suspension instead, or Race Tech.

It isn't just the weight that is compressing the shocks (though it is a factor) , it is the leverage that the different mounting position is applying to them. Cool setup by the way.

Hannibal--FXDX shocks are pretty nice too. You should be able to find some on eBay because some )(*&()% took them off to put on 10" 412's.

sorry I didn't see this earlier. you can just get springs for the rear shocks. It is a leverage issue the sport mounts back at the axle. Same for the front some heavier springs and you should be good to go.
the blacked out forks look good ![]() here is how the rear shocks mounted
