If they bring this bike back in an iteration...DAEG, 1200, 1400, Special 40th Anniversary, naked, faired....I'll buy it.

Like, now.

My ZRX 1200 is sold.
The most uncomfortable bike I ever owned.
I do not know why all the motorcycle magazines
would always compare the ZRX with the Suzuki
1200 Bandit. I owned a 98 Bandit and could
ride 700 mile days on back roads with ease .
50 miles on the ZRX, time for a break.
Good riddance. NO REGRETS.

I will admit the ZRX is not the most comfortable bike on the world. I've added handlebar risers and a Sargent seat to mine. The only thing left is to lower the pegs a skosh, I'm still figuring out how I want to do that. I've got a 32" inseam and it's just a little short on legroom for me.

buell pegs are inexpensive but you'll need to grind them down to fit. they make a noticable difference

I've got Buell Ulysses pegs sitting on a shelf in my garage, but I'm checking into another option first. A guy at work has some lowering blocks on his bike and they sure look like they will work on the Rex. Next time he brings it to work I'm pulling out my calipers and taking some measurements.

My 02 ZRX, which I store in New Zealand for my riding visits. the ZRX1100 parked next to me had a satisfied long-term owner, had a few mods, USD forks, digital dash. Pictured parked at the Omaka airshow, Easter 2011.

So sure, a big part of the reason I picked a ZRX was it's looks. Then I went and uglified it. I think I will get over it though, I've been looking forward to being able to carry stuff with me.

One of the things I *LOVE* about the ZRX, is that if you do the Ivan's kit with the pods and battery relocation, etc. etc., you can fit soooooo much stuff under the seat. Probably about 75% of the space in your top box.

I can fit a gallon jug under my seat. Pods and fab tech kit installed.

Zrx 1200 r

Well, how about it, anyone out there using a Kaw.ZRX 1200 as their daily ride? I got this 2001 off my brother, wasnt looking for a bike at the time, but he was moving and had to get rid of it(wife said so). So it sat in my garage for two years. Been riding the 03 Shadow in background, thought it was time for a change. Man why did I wait so long? Dont ever want to ride another Vtwin crusier. Put 54,000+ mi on the Shadow, but would have been more fun(and less vibration) on the ZRX.
