I was really looking forward to this trip. Things have been stressed at work for both of us lately, and a weekend away was going to be good tonic for that. Now, in all likelihood, I'll get to spend at least part of it laying in a foot of slush.

The rig is under a foot of snow in the back yard and the clutch smelled really funny after working it a bit trying to get it up the hill...

Leaving Monday AM for THC by way of Big Bend. The weather currently looks quite favorable.

Y'all stay safe, and mind the hypothermia. Best to be proactive on that, sharing a sleeping bag with another soggy advrider would be icky. Well, there may be the rare exception I suppose. Vanishingly rare.

Its all pretty good here now. Skies are clearing and stars are visible. Still kinda cold though. (posting from sleeping bag inside tent! )
