17" car tire conversion for a R100GS?? anybody?
I sure would be interested in finding a conversion for my 92' R100GS from stock wheel to car tire conversion. Does anyone have any resources?? Thanks in advance!

I have a 205 50/17 on the stock rim of my 1250 Suzuki Bandit. Really tight fit, but nothing rubs.

Will it fit on an R1200GS?
So will a 195/45 R17 or anything else fit the back of an R1200GS? It sure would be great to use the stock rear rim and find a car tire to fit. The rear tire spec on the Yamaha looks like 180/55 zr17 and the stock rear tire on a R1200GS is a 150/70 r17. Too much difference in wheel width?

Tires that are often used overhere in Europe on stock 17" motorcycle wheels are following
NANKANG NS2 165/35R17 Continental VancoContact 185/60R17 Bridgestone Potenza 175/55R17 I have the Continental (back) and Bridegstone (front) on my rig - both on stock 17x4,5 Harley wheels. I don't now about availability in the US? Greetings from Belgium  !

I am planning to start a side car project this year on 1998 tiger, any place I can get plans for a leading link forks and I would like to use the same tire for all 3 wheels ,what size car rim would be best to use.

Continental do a spare tyre CTT17. Size is 155/70/17. Would this fit on the GS?

I believe that for less than the cost of a wheel adapter, you can send your stock motorcycle wheel to Kosman, and have an automobile tire appropriate bead grafted on. As I recall, you can either maintain the stock wheel diameter or increase the diameter by 1". For a GS rim, I would assume the stock wheel backspacing could be preserved.
