I found this 17 miles of bliss near Camden, AL

Yesterday, I was on my last day of a 19 day/5600 mile loop from Panama City, FL to Billings, MT and back... No Interstate Travel...

I had Google Mapped all my days for back roads... and when I passed through Camden, Alabama yesterday morning... following my Zumo 660's instructions, I turned right onto Water Street and then had 17 miles of curves... with lots of ups and downs... No tight twisties... just a lot of long sweeping curves and medium corners... Little traffic... Little population. It was a little bit of heaven.

I just thought I'd pass it along to you 'Bama fans just in case you had not yet found it.

Camden is about 50 miles SW of Montgomery...

Here's one of us riding the TWVT. It's over a year old but still one of my favorite rides.

54 Tennessee State Parks Ride Collaborative

Tennessee has 54 State Parks scattered all across the state. We are asking riders from Tennessee and the surrounding states (we border 8 other states) to pick a Tennessee State Park, pick a date for a ride and invite other Inmates to join you. After that we'd like for you to write up a ride report (with lots of pictures) and post it here on Adventure Rider in the Day Trippin forum. We'll link your ride report to the collaborative thread and everyone can find you far into the future.

If you'll go to the collaborative ride report at http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=832714, leave a post saying which park you're riding to and when, other Inmates can contact you to ride along. Heck, it might be fun.

Hopefully by next summer we can have ride reports on all 54 parks. The weather is still good enough to get started now.

Tell your ADV buddies about this.

WV - Rt 55 Old & New - Petersburg, Moorefield, Wardensville

I had to go to my folk's farm and mow grass, so I decided to take an extra day off and go explore the Old and New Rt 55 around the Petersburg, Moorefield, and Wardensville area in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. I took the old 2-lane road east into Virginia, and came back on the new 4-lane, including the new section that just opened up to around Greenland Gap. The fall colors are still nice but fading quickly. I posted the ride report on my website - www.RidingWV.com

Ride Report: http://www.ridingwv.com/FolderStreet...t55Oct2012.htm

Hope you enjoy it.
