Looks like you got the link. Pots do get sooty, but it never bothers me. I keep the whole thing in its own bag. I just enjoy the involvement with this stove. It also makes good heat if you are in the cold and don't have a fire pit or larger wood to burn.

I have a couple of them...found them all used on ebay for less than $40.00

I actually have a couple of those - an inmate sells them. They work really well.

If you don't feel inclined to make one yourself (and of course, if you do, you get all that Heini to drink ) look in Vendors as an inmate sells them for a couple bucks.

In all honesty, buying a pre-made one isn't nearly as appealing to me. I love making stuff like this myself... It's better when I come up with the idea myself and make it, but putting it together isn't half bad either. When part of the build process requires drinking a beer, it's only that much better!

Thanks for the heads up though. BTW, just in case anyone else would be considering buying one, who's selling them and for how much? I would think it might take awhile to wade through the vendors section to find it. If you don't know off the top of your head, don't worry about it.

I have to say other than my xr650r, a pair of 509 goggles w/ polarized lenses. For 50-85 bucks they are worth every penny. I don't have to wear my sunglasses any more and put up with crap in my contacts.

When you make it, and the burners kick in like a gas stove after about a minute, it is shocking that it could work that well.

Disclaimer, didn't watch the vid but I assume its the same swedged together aluminum bottle / Heet stove many of us use. Monster energy drink is actually the bottle du jour everywhere but ADV where a quality beer replaces it

best gear purchase

I have been very happy with olympia moto sports jackets/pants. I have them as does my wife.
I have had their airglide model and recently got the nomad an innovative jacket that converts to mesh from a solid shell.
good gear. heres a link www.olympiamotosports.com

By far my Arai XD4. Quietest helmet I've owned in 36 years of riding on road, off-road, dual sport, touring, track. Talk about a high quality piece of equipment. I should have pulled the trigger on this a long time ago. Just got it last week.

Camel back backpack. 5 years of on and off road from the Adirondacks to Colorado and down to the dragon. It has been comfortable, hauled the stuff I needed and kept me hydrated. Crappy photo of me wearing it but it's all I got.
