Just got a Cabela's coupon flyer in the mail today.

Coupons for Surefire's E2e Executive light - $49.99 - and 9p - $59.99. Discontinued models, but those sound like deals to me. I'll be picking up one of each.

Coupons good for the Fort Worth and Allen stores in Texas it says.

Edit: Prices are the same on the web.

I've had an old Maglite 3 cell for a number of years, finally bought an LED conversion (pricey at about $30) but man, what a difference.
No need for a new flashlight anymore.

Which conversion???...

I wasn't very impressed with the $15 Terralux one I got from Battery Junction.. I mean it is alright.. but nowhere near as bright as you would expect with a couple c-cells behind it..

I've got the 3D Maglite conversion from these guys http://www.malkoffdevices.com/shop/d...te-c-1_25.html

The light output is 100 times better than the original bulb.

If I had a Maglite still, I'd get one of those. Hafta bookmark that link in case I ever get another one...thanks!

Maglites are relatively cheap. Get one, and add the Malkoff Drop-in. You will be amazed how much light it puts out!

By the time you are all done with a Malkoff drop-in, you might as well buy a brand new flashlight.. the prices for pretty good quality LEDs are very reasonable these days..

just sayin...

Really. I've been getting Rayovac 100 lumen two AA lights at Home Depot for $15. Great lights.

There's still one benefit of a Malkoff drop-in in a nice full sized MagLite. You can hit something with a Mag-Lite and deliver a substantial hit. I've not seen any of the new LEDs have the weight required for that use.

exactly - that's a good reason for the LED, it's light-weight.

I just brought these in for our store to carry. - look up eagle tac - I just got a nifty 720 lumen small handheld that has a programmable PD strobe feature. Way better value than surefire IMHO. 720 lumen model runs @89

For the money the Malkoff costs, and the output you get, it is a good deal, IMO. Certainly you can't put it in your pocket, but it definitely would slow someone down if you clocked them in the head. Or you could just blind them with the beam...

Good point... Great point really...

Unless you don't need a weapon...

But really... Who doesn't like the option of having a flashlight you could conceivably kill someone with... I mean that is downright all-American....
