discoweb.org for no frills tech. They're a bunch of assholes but there's good info.

pirate4x4 for good suspension tech, and there's always something unique happening there.

d-90.com for Defender-specific info.

Here's a couple pic's of my new to me LR2. Tried a dirt road close to home and first thing I saw was the grader near the entrance. Fresh gravel and nicely graded, not what I was looking for. Regardless the LR2 showed me that is plenty capable. First thing on the list is a good set of AT rated tires.
