Let's Ride: Mt. Tam Easter Sunrise
A couple of riders on the Easter Morning Sunrise Rally on Mount Tamalpias in Marin County ... here's the sunrise, it was a nice day ...

We get up at 3:30am and eventually join about 200 fellow motorcyclists on the east peak of Mt. Tam and watch the sunrise from a perch under the watch-tower ...

I rode my 1973 Triumph Tiger, which still looks the same, so I'll spare you another photo ... ha.

Realistic price for your bike fixed up might be 3,200. I'd have to think it's a labor of love as opposed to turning around and being a money maker.

My bike has had about 10,000 thrown at it, but that's in 35 years. All the fun riding...that's economical.

This Friday (4/27) I'm riding the Norton over to Oley PA for the Perkiomen Chapter of the AMCA's Spring ANtique Meet.
Pix WILL be posted. Lots of Harley and Indian stuff at these meets but inevitably, lots of Brit Iron as well. Often, VERY interesting bikes in the parking lot!

Got a mate who's always stumbling across bikes in strange places. This ones in Greece apparently and has my name on it if it makes it back. Just needs a little TLC and a bucket load of £££ throwing at it

I hope you get it OK Rob. it is in a tiny bit worse shape than the one I had for a few months before the pressures of being newly married made me decide to sell it years ago. I look longingly at every fastback I see ever since. be sure you use a high quality tank sealer to protect that fibreglass from todays fuel. good luck with the project. JB

The guy, when asked where he got the thing:

"I bought it from some ex-racer guy in Argentina- I didn't want it but had to buy it in order to get this BMW I wanted- it was a package deal! I'm really NOT into Triumphs so now I'm just trying to sell it and maybe break even."

Before coming across this, my fave-o-the-day was that BSA Empire Star- and I'm not a "BSA Guy".
