Here's my first street bike. This pic was after I'd owned it for a few years and threw way too much money at it. You can see my 'safety sunglasses'. That was all of the protection I thought I needed.

When I seen this pic it sure brought back some memories. Some where I have a pic of me doing a wheelie with mine, I should dig it out.

New guy here. This is a great thread. Here's a pic of me at the DC moto show a couple years ago with a pristine 78 XR75, which looks just like the one I had way back when (mine may have been less pristine ;) ).

The XR75 actually wasn't my first though. The first bike I had was a minibike with really fat tires. I remember taking it into a plowed field and riding across the grain kind of like whoops. With no suspension and the return cable for the throttle broken it was quite exciting if your right hand came off the bar. ;) I know there's a pic of me somewhere sitting on that thing in the family room on Christmas in 78 or so.

First bike: 82XT200 in 1983. I think this was my first attempt at loading camping gear on the bike.

This is actually my 4th bike, no pics of the first three. Started riding (mini's) in 1958 and still own and ride three bikes.
It is a 1967 Suzuki X-6 Hustler with modified frt fender, lower gearing, bigger more aggressive tires, fiberglass tank and seat and the biggest and best mod is to the engine, it is twingled. For those of you that don't know what twingled is the engine is disassembled and the crankshaft journals are rotated from 180deg apart to to firing at the same time. It converts an opposing firing twin to a single firing twin. The torque and vibration is almost doubled but what a low end puller .

My dream finally realized

I remember being ridden around on my uncles motorcycle in his yard as a 12-year old. When I got to high school, my buddy had a Honda Spree that we drove all over the place. We kept looking for big hills to try and reach 40mph. Now nearly 30-years later, I finally have one of my own. I bought this 2008 KLR650 last weekend and am looking forward to some sweet adventures this summer!

How about the first one I built, or rather am building. Only things left from the original bike are the forks and the engine.

Can't afford to buy it? Build it!

That is one sweet KLR, Dude. You might convince me to look at one for myself, after I get tired of my XR600R!

1985 Yamaha Virago.

I got her only 3 short years ago and had to sell her to make room for the new ride.
