Still waiting for my first trail ride on my 'used' Iron Horse. Rode it once, with the family on a "greenway" ride. Greenway is what they call paved walking/biking trails around here! I haven't been mountain biking in several years. had to buy a new helmet, old one was trash. Bike is tuned and ready to go. Already have the urge to upgrade...but that's foolish considering I haven't even "tested" it off road yet!

Kent Erikson,Moots founder made these bikes able to adapt to 700"c" rims /tires available in that era,thus the moovable brake mounts.I went to Steamboat Springs and took a tour of his shop(an old converted sawdust kiln) and was so impressed I ordered an expensive(at that time,$1300.00,bike).Just went through a divorce and paid out the ass to scumbag lawyers and ex-wife.I thought I deserved a present.I pulled up next to a guy on a new titanium Moots road bike two years ago in Stone Harbor N.J and he about shit himself when I pointed out that I too,was riding a Moots(not a $3500.00 one tho!)
