Black Star is always closed, and probably never to be open to public again.
Too many new private property owners!

Was maple springs closed because of the rain last week?

I don't know whether to trust the ntl forest website closures to be accurate. Especially on a weekend.

Did a ride up there today and came across a guy that went over the edge on Main Divide between the towers and four corners. Bike was about 25 or 30 feet down the hill. He got lucky and hit some branches to stop him and the bike because the hill dropped down quite a bit farther. It was really steep. The pics never do the angle justice. Luckily between the 4 guys on bikes, we all had tow straps. We were able to tie them together and eventually get his bike back up on the road.

The guy probably went off following some fmr drunks. You know those guys aren't responsible for them selves let alone someone else.
