Already have a deep scratch on my swing arm The tank is still in place and in one piece, so I'll look into mounting some kind of braket to keep it away from touching the swing arm

I own lobbys 990 now and the rear tank worked perfect for the last 3 years (taking the gas in the rear tank first when the petcock is turned on) .

I took the tanks off to install a scotts automatic chain oiler and check the valves and the fuel lines were rotting so I replaced them along with the tline and when removing the fuel line off the petcock those broke to because the fuel line was so hard... anyways after I got everything reinstalled I have the same problem now. The fuel light comes on with 1.5 gallons in the rear tank and 1.5 gallons in the front tanks.

this drives me crazy.
