Two Things You Can Depend On...
~
So now that we're back to our regularly scheduled programming... ![]() I had to go up the coast a bit yesterday to check on the moving of a portable building, and after that task was done I decided to take a little side-trip up the coast, and thought you guys might like a pic of *TWO* things that are rock-solid reliable and that you can depend on... ![]() That's the "Goose Island Oak" behind my Super Tenere. Also known as "The Big Tree", "Bishop's Tree", and "The Lamar Oak", it is over 1,000 years old and one of the largest oaks in Texas. http://famoustreesoftexas.tamu.edu/T...20Island%20Oak http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=849103 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Tree,_Rockport ![]() Saw some other friends out exploring a bit yesterday, too... ![]() ![]() Dallara ~

Testing offroad
Just returned from a short trip (3 days) to Argentina through the Libertador Pass on the Andes and back because the Agua Negra (500 kms north) pass closed due to a heavy snow downfall ... but we had a nice time enjoying our bikes on heavy dirt roads with some spills ... and testing my high fender and its low brother ...
Nice and shiny before the trip ... ![]() my Black Pearl ready to ride ... ![]() nice dirt road ... deep gravel mixed with sand ... ![]() and the first touchdown ... ![]() and another one ... ![]() bush landing ... ![]() Tenere to the rescue ... ![]() reloading ... ![]() another spill with me trapped under waiting for rescue ... ![]() and the last one ... ![]() who said this steed is not dirt road worthy? ... ![]() some views ... ![]() and ready to go again ... ![]() Cheers, Thagua
