San Diego to Oregon Tracks

The link here took me to another thread. The link on that thread brought me back here. Subsequent posts herein are links to who knows what? I entirely agree with the other posts: "Too planned. Get on the bike and ride. Stop when you need to stop. Ride when you need to ride."
Figure out the sights along the way. Make a list if needed. I headed once for Reno, decided Winnemucca was the interesting stop along the way, that Reno was crowded w/ summer tourists and so I re-routed in Sparks. Road trips are for getting away from the structured schedule. |

I have never been there..... thanks for the info I will stay on the freeway then & get back on the coast in Santa Monica (it looks like that's the last of the stop lights)

You're also crossing a whooole lotta water too....paddle tire?
Since you are going along the coast, check out Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd (north of your SR182 waypoint), and the 2 Central Coast to the 1 North Coast roads east of HWY 1 along Big Sur.
