I have spoken (briefly) to someone else about possibly redesigning this part to make it stronger. We'll see what, if anything, can come of that. Just for the record, I do ride my 990 off road a lot and like to take the bumps fast, so a sturdy part is essential for me. And no, Touratech did not give me the replacement part for free, but they sent me an entire new assembly for about half-price so that was fair.

I installed the new 4 position heater controller & grips.
You have to hold the switch for 3 straight seconds to turn it them on or off. I didn't use any heatshrink on the left grip, just hairspray- same for the throttle tube. For those that are going to install their own KTM kit, the "ACC 2" connectors are located behind the headlight. You have to remove the left upper cover (where the left turn signal is located) in order to access the connectors. This is a great kit. It includes everything you will need.

Mounted and ready to GO!!!
Angle of cans slightly greater than rack to facilitate getting more fuel into cans when filling up while attached to bike. Now I can actually see how far she goes before I run out of fuel! ![]() ![]()

I tested my new Oberon clutch slave today. Not much of a differrence, it feels like the Oberon goes slightly lighter than the stock unit, but its not much of a difference imho

My rear brake lever was bent and was chewing through the carbon kevlar over the clutch cover. Finally, I bought a new lever and decided to replace the cover as well - in style, of course

Cole, our lower halves are gonna look similar... CJ is in the process of cranking out an orange set of peg extenders for me. Oh, and that orange engine paint looks handy to have around
