I never understood the drinking and working on the m/c equation. Thanks for providing a perfect example of why not!!

If you ever lose your way and find yourself on the "darkside" of drinking and wrenching just shoot me a pm. I have a ton of stories (aka mistakes made) as a result of drinking in my garage. Enjoy your latte

KTM Bits

Hi
Peter
New to this site, just found some information about you making rallye type parts for KTM 950 adventures.
I am very interested in the cost and availability on the rear tanks and bash plate. I'm in the Uk but my boss lives in NZ and we are always shipping stuff backwards and forwards. Look forward to your reply. You can email me at
bird357@btinternet.com.
I know the original tanks were make by a Germany company called elkamet for the rallye bikes, but cannot find anyway
Of sourcing these. Ktm aren't interested in selling them, and the one I have seen would need to be modified.
The pictures I have seen on the net look the dogs .
Regards
Tony

Alas the bike us now in Russia.

can we still get these?...

Also, I know they work with my racks, cool. But do they work with the stock exhaust or the 2into1? Or Do we need the ralley sort of underslung exhaust?

KTM Twins

Check KTM Twins. I love my GPR, after I installed a kritzman spark arrester from an old FMF Q. The stock GPR muffler is painfully loud...

Don't see it there. I will keep looking I suppose. I am very interested in these tanks even if I never really dug the look of that sort of exhaust. I was thinking of going with the safari's but the expansion trouble scared me off.

Did you have any problems clearing a bashplate? I have the blackdog cycle works tank of a plate under there
